2019년, 국내 미술시장의 흐름을 주도하고 있는 대구아트페어는 빠르게 변화하는 미술시장에 앞장서서 매년 새로운 작가와 작품을 소개해 화랑의 순기능을 확실하게 보여주는 자리를 마련 하였다. 또한 엄격한 심사를 거쳐 선별된 참가 화랑과 전시의 집중도를 높이기 위한 부스 동선 및 전시 구성으로 행사의 질적 향상에 주력하였으며, 관람객이 즐기고 참여할 수 있는 다채로운 행사가 되기 위해 노력하였다.
2019년에는 대구미술의 역사성을 조명할 수 있는 특별전을 기획했다. 대구를 무대로 활동한 한국 근현대미술의 거장들을 소개하는 특별 전시로 권순철, 이인성, 박현기 작가에 이어 2019년에는 1970년대, 1980년대 독창적인 화면으로 주목받은 주요 현대미술가 이향미 작가의 작품이 전시됐다.

In 2019, Daegu Art Fair, which is leading the trend of the domestic art market, took the lead in the rapidly changing art market, introducing new artists and works every year to clearly show the net function of galleries. In addition, we focused on improving the quality of the event by selecting participating galleries through strict screening and organizing booths and exhibitions to increase the concentration of exhibitions, and strived to become a colorful event that visitors can enjoy and participate in.
In 2019, a special exhibition was organized to highlight the historical significance of Daegu art. Following Kwon Soon-cheol, Lee In-sung, and Park Hyun-ki, the special exhibition introduced masters of Korean modern and contemporary art who were active in Daegu, and in 2019, works by Lee Hyang-mi, a major contemporary artist who attracted attention with her original screens in the 1970s and 1980s, were exhibited.
