2016년, ‘2016 대구아트페어’는 관람객 3만 3천여명을 돌파하며 35억원의 판매액을 올리고 성황리에 폐막했다.
국내·외 9개국 103개 화랑과 6개국 33명의 청년작가들이 참여해 회화·조각·사진·설치 작품 5천여점을 전시했다.
화랑들의 부스 전시 이외에도 유명 작가 20여명의 ‘드로잉 특별전’과 관람객이 다가오면 조각상이 갑자기 말을 걸거나 제스처를 취하는 ‘살아있는 조각상 퍼포먼스’ 등 새롭고 다양한 볼거리를 선사해 관람객들로부터 좋은 반응을 얻었다.

In 2016, the '2016 Daegu Art Fair' closed successfully with over 33,000 visitors and 3.5 billion won in sales. 103 galleries from nine domestic and international countries and 33 young artists from six countries participated, exhibiting more than 5,000 paintings, sculptures, photographs, and installations.
In addition to the galleries' booth exhibitions, the festival offered new and diverse attractions, such as the 'Drawing Special Exhibition' by 20 famous artists and the 'Living Sculpture Performance,' in which sculptures suddenly talk or gesture when visitors approach them, which was well received by visitors.
